With growing knowledge and concern over BPA, Playtex Infant Baby is focused on providing an entirely BPA-free
feeding solution to parents worldwide.
What is BPA?
Bisphenol A (BPA) is an ingredient used to make plastics called
polycarbonates. Polycarbonate is generally used in
consumer products because it does not crack or shatter, can be cleaned with
very hot water, sterilizes easily, does
not
absorb odour, and is an extremely safe alternative to glass. Polycarbonate
plastic is commonly found in general
household products such as water bottles, food storage containers, and a
variety of children's toys.
What does BPA do to the body?
BPA mimics the naturally occurring hormone estrogen, and alters the normal
function of the genes. It is also linked to
the early onset of puberty in girls, obesity and behavioral problems.
